BACKGROUND • Every year, the Hettema Group throws a big party at the IAAPA conference in Orlando, Florida to thank clients and reconnect with colleagues from around the world. The party is consistently popular with guests, with many saying it’s their favorite party of the week and a highlight of the year. With the conference cancelled in 2020, there was a need for an alternative way to connect with friends in the industry.
DESCRIPTION • Hettema House Party is a special mailer consisting of a build-it-yourself cardboard model kit accompanied by a stylized animated tour of the THG studio. Recipients were instructed to scan a QR code and place their smartphones into a the cradle for a POV ride-along through a THG-themed dark ride animation. Hettema House Party provided a fun and engaging at-home activity for all ages as well as a relevant connection to THG’s mission of creating unique and captivating interactive experiences.
